Energy Charter is an independent international intergovernmental organization comprised of 52 countries in Europe and Asia, including North Macedonia. The host of the annual conference was in Albania. The conference was held in Tirana on June 13th and was attended by ministers from the government of Albania, Urban Rusnak – Secretary General of the Energy Charter and more than 200 participants from Romania, Malta, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Ukraine and other member states. It was discussed about the necessary transition of energy to clean energy production, increased energy efficiency and their socio – economic effects, as well as Albania ‘s international connectivity and regional integration through the construction of pipelines.
